Mad Rad at Sasquatch!

Hip hop Seattle party slammers MAD RAD were quietly added to Sasquatch's Sunday lineup. Hopefully theyre going to get everybody started off right at the dance tent before Deadmau5 kills it. Sunday was looking weak compared to the other days, so I'm glad these guys are going to be there to pick it up. I'll definitely get down with these dudes shredding instead of Nine Inch Nails on the main stage.
Check their myspace here and snag the Filejerks remix of their song "Crack the Blunt" right  here.

Little Boots + Kid Cudi at SXSW

Evidently there was an impromptu ending to Little Boots' set at SXSW tonight and luckily there was somebody with a camera there. It starts off with the tail end of her banger "Stuck on Repeat" and then Perez Hilton brought up Kid Cudi to sing a duet with Lil Boots of his song, "Day and Night." Little Boots had previously made a Youtube video of herself covering the track and Cudi was impressed enough to get on stage and end her set with it. A little sloppy because I'm sure she's overwhelmed, but maaaan its still cool anyway. Plus, I'm pretty sure you can see the dude from Coldplay when the camera pans around. Wish it was possible for me to go!

P.S. more on Little Boots to come.

Pruane2Forever

I say Youtube is the best website on the internet. Boom. I peruse it almost daily and it always results in gems like "Pruane2Forever," alias: The Sexman. The majority of his 140+ films are reviews of movies, video games, and also more unique things like fights and the first day of school. While he does have a general idea of what he wants to talk about in his videos, he cannot avoid the inevitable rambling of a 13 year old. Also, the kid doesn't take any guff from commenters. Sidenote: did you know "commenters" is not an actual word?

His review of a fight he saw at school:

Here is his review of Zach Snyder's Watchmen:

And here is the trailer seemingly for his opus, dubbed The Sexinator vs the Sexman. Excuse the tedious introduction, this is obviously only in the early stages:

All I have to say is look out, Christian Bale.

Daft Punk Keyboard Magic

The internet has now produced the modern-day equivalent to the Mark McGwire "Official Mark McGwire Grip Baseball Bat":

Using your extended knowledge of home-row keyboard techniques, you can use the sample vocals from "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger." Now you can play just like the pros! Robot costumes and genesis of French electronica not included.

Diplo took two takes on this track:

A SoNg ThaT CapTuRes mY HeaRT!!!!

Every once and a while there comes a song that just captures what I want to say to my significant other but don't have the words to. This time it comes from the boys at The Hood Internet.

Kim Jong Il Wins Reelection!

"Unh. Unh. Yeeeah. Hahaaaa!"

Start poppin' bottles and get ready to get doo doo dum because our favorite lil dictator Kim Jong Il has been re-elected into office with an unprecedented 99.98% of the votes! The remaining .12% could not be found for comment. This means great things to come for the nation of North Korea! The Korean Central News Agency discovered that just a few weeks ago, winter ended early due to Kim Jong Il's birthday

"Those who witnessed the opening of willow catkins earlier than the previous years and the unprecedented nocturnal view said excitedly that even the nature and the sky unfolded such mysterious ecstasy in celebration of the birthday of leader Kim Jong-Il," reports the most credible news source available. I have no doubt that this 5 foot dynamo can couple his control over the powers of the world itself and his dope-ass sunglasses (sincerely, those are tight) and bring nothing but prosperity to his people during his 5 year term.

Tonight, go get buckwild to celebrate this little dude's continuation of power. I know, I know, its Tuesday, but if you do not enjoy yourself on this glorious historic day and set up an arrangement of Kimjongilias, the national flower of North Korea (not kidding) you might not get another chance.
Here's a bumpin' new remix of Spank Rock by The Company Kang for you to get yo grind on to:

Live Action Star Wars TV Show Has Begun Casting

George Lucas has been working on a live action Star Wars TV series set during the Clone Wars and has been keeping it mostly under wraps, but according to
/Film it has begun to select actors to portray its intergalactic cast. The overall theme of the show is supposed to be "Deadwood meets the Sopranos" meets my boner because this show is going to be fantastic. I had previously heard that the most we will see of the Jedi wouldn't necessarily be warriors - most likely botanists, scouts, anybody really who was Force sensitive and lucky enough to avoid Order 66. A real tough, dark show is what the franchise needs to offset the silly anime-inspired 3D cartoon that is currently airing on Cartoon Network. No word yet on what channel it will be on, but I think it would thrive on any major one, really.

Kid Cudi + So Me

Sooooooooooo y'all know Kid Cudi rite? First formally known to the "mainstream" public through Kanye West's song Welcome to HeartBreak.  Now has becum apparently one of the few blog elites that is lucky enough to grace the video camera of So Me (Jooostice's cameraman/director/bff.)  To be real though, his hand drawn look has all of the creativity and none of the slickness that usually accompanies and ruins music videos, which is a breath of fresh air.  Check it

POGO

Pogo is a kid from Australia who is mostly known for taking tiny samples of Disney's Alice in Wonderland and crafting it into catchy, little daydream songs with accompanying videos that are just as trippy as Lewis Carroll's opium-induced original novel.

Here's the music video for "Alice."

Another great track by him is "Go Out and Love Someone." Made through the same method of teeny tiny samples, this song is super disjointed but sounds organic. Somebody made this video for it:

RӦYKSOPP - JUNIOR

Lean back, shut your eyes and exhale because Rӧyksopp has finally ended the months-long dicktease and had their third album Junior leak. It started off months ago when they released "Happy Birthday," a track that was greeted skeptically due to the vocals sounding like one of those green tube toys that made a weird sound when you turned it upside down. This was quickly followed up with a one minute clip of the next song, "Happy Up Here," which starts with Rӧyksopp laughing at you like "dudes, don't even worry, Happy Birthday isn't even going to be on the album." A couple weeks later, we got the full "Happy Up Here" given to us and I, for one, wasn't disappointed in the least.

The album itself is fantastic. Fellow Scandinavian musician and previous collaborator Karen Dreijer Andersson of The Knife and Fever Ray features on two of the tracks, "This Must Be It" and "Tricky Tricky," the latter being my favorite after the initial play of Junior. They also have Lykke Li's sweet voice cooing on "Miss It So Much" and on the next single, "The Girl and The Robot," another Scandinavian singer named Robyn narrates her sorrow (i suppose its about how an electric heart cannot love) over a violin-fuelled club bangr beat.

My favorite tracks are Tricky Tricky, Miss It So Much, Rӧyksopp Forever and Happy Up Here. I predict some great remixes for Tricky Tricky, and we'll be sure to post any outstanding ones we come across. The entire album has this great, upbeat, airy, orchestral feel to it and is best listened from a gigantic bed held aloft by hot air balloons. Check out the official music video for Happy Up Here, featuring the bad guys from Space Invaders and a lot of flashin' lites. You can try out Junior for yourself up at the title.

Rӧyksopp Forever.

By the way...firsties. Much more of FVTVR3S 2 cum.
