George Lucas has been working on a live action Star Wars TV series set during the Clone Wars and has been keeping it mostly under wraps, but according to /Film it has begun to select actors to portray its intergalactic cast. The overall theme of the show is supposed to be "Deadwood meets the Sopranos" meets my boner because this show is going to be fantastic. I had previously heard that the most we will see of the Jedi wouldn't necessarily be warriors - most likely botanists, scouts, anybody really who was Force sensitive and lucky enough to avoid Order 66. A real tough, dark show is what the franchise needs to offset the silly anime-inspired 3D cartoon that is currently airing on Cartoon Network. No word yet on what channel it will be on, but I think it would thrive on any major one, really.
